Within the ceremony marking 22 April 1945, the day the last detainees escaped the prison camp of Jasenovac, the Serbian Orthodox Church consecrated a temple dedicated to St. Ilija in the village of Mlaka near Jasenovac. Within the liturgy, Serbian Patriarch Mr.Irinej reminded of the great crime in Jasenovac and, in particular, stressed the suffering of mothers and children.
